Learn cinematography basics and black and white movie film development in one action-packed afternoon!
Workshop participants will shoot, process and watch the analog film created during the workshop.
Use the Bolex 16mm wind-up movie camera to capture beautiful images in stunning black and white; no computer, software—or even electricity—required.
Process your film at AgX’s conveniently-located lab in the Francis Cabot Lowell Mill complex, a short walk from the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation.
Work under the instruction of AgX members who are artists, filmmakers and educators in the Boston area and who keep the tradition of making films by hand alive.
We will screen the film shot during the workshop at the end of the afternoon and provide participants with a digital transfer of their work after the event.
Whether this is your first time handling celluloid movie film or you’re revisiting a process you gave up for digital video, see and experience the modern world of 16mm filmmaking.
Please bring rubber gloves and goggles if you plan on participating in hand processing the film.
The cost of this Waltham Film Factory Workshop is $40, and just $30 if you purchased a ticket to the October 19th AgX Waltham Film Factory Screening.
