ABOUT INNOVATION ALLEY
Still in the planning stages, but gearing up to begin installation soon, the Alley will occupy the space in our Main Gallery behind the 1940s heating boiler and against the Museum’s South Wall (recently home to our “Mike Loves Robots” art exhibit). It will be expandable as needed into our Moody Room, currently the home of our video screening mini-theater.
Our Museum Educator, Katherine Sorrows, can barely contain herself when she discusses her ideas for learning exhibits, activities, and ways to improve our ability to challenge, enlighten, expand, and encourage young minds. Hands-on activities, reading sessions, team projects and more will all be a part of the facility. Innovation Alley will be a great help to us in serving school and other youth groups visiting our Museum. We’re designing it for maximum flexibility and utility for a broad range of activities, age groups, and backgrounds.
