The Riverwalk Mural Project: Along the Landry Way Path to the Charles River Museum
THIS WILL BE OFF-SITE FROM THE CHARLES RIVER MUSEUM:
Scandinavian Cultural Center
506 Waltham St, Newton, MA
5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED
The Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation is partnering with The New England Mosaic Society (NEMS) to create three large mosaic panels to be installed along the Landry Way Riverwalk leading to the Museum. The panels will represent ways that the Charles River has been impacted by industrialization. Each panel will represent a specific time period; the 1600s (pre-industrialization), the 1800s (during the Industrial Revolution), and the 2000s (today).
YOU can participate in this historic project!
NEMS has set up three work sessions where Museum members and the Waltham community at large can come together with mosaic artists to work on the murals. These 2-3 hour sessions are FREE, and no experience is necessary. Just show up and have some fun! Stay for the whole session or as long as you wish.
This is a great activity for families and people of all ages.
